Rage Box Dancers thrive in performance opportunities, whether they are a young ‘spark’ in our Preschool Program, or a Graduating Senior in our Division 3 Program. As a studio, we seek to find community involvement to spread the joy of dance through movement and artistry. Additionally, all of our dancers perform in end-of-the year recitals. Our Division 2 and Division 3 Program Dancers engross themselves fully into their training and artistic expression to affect people from their performances on the competition stage.

The Rage Box Recital weekend is one not to miss. With 5 recitals to celebrate all of our dancers of every age, we keep the performances full of artistry, expression and at the highest standard of choreographic creativity. The Division 1 Recitals are separated by the following: Preschool Recital, Ages 2-4; 5-6 Year Old Recital; and 7-18 Year Old Recital. This allows us to highlight all of our dancers fully, while keeping the length of these shows to a comfortable time limit for the performers and the spectators. AND, we like to add in a little surprise here and there to keep the audience members on their toes and fully entertained from start to finish.

The Division 2 and Division 3 Recitals showcase two performances of the most brilliant display of artistic expression, technical excellence, and creative articulation. Taking the most pride in their work, these competitive and pre-professional dancers inspire their peers, spectators, and adorers alike in a beautiful showcase that is bound to leave the audience wanting and grasping for more.

The Rage Box takes great pride in our preparation for all who want to attend and participate in this event. Knowing the stress recital weekends can cause dancers and families as a unit, we diligently work to provide just the opposite. Instead, our friends and families and everyone involved, are able to enjoy a beautiful weekend of celebration and admiration for the year we had as a Rage Box FAM.

Come dance with us!

Our Division 2 and Division 3 Programs compete a diverse repertoire at regional conventions and competitions beginning in February of each year. We love to see our dancers on the stage, receiving recognition for our artistic approach to movement and composition. Attending conventions and competitions is a big part of our spring season for our Division 2 and Division 3 dancers, but it does not fog our main concentration, which is training and growing.

When leaving the Rage Box, your child moves onto the next chapter of their life, some with dance a part of it and some not. In the grand scheme of things, a college acceptance or a company contract, or a deal to work in the commercial world, no one really cares if you won an In10se Platinum; no one really cares if you were Outstanding Dance at NYCDA, and no one really cares if you received 1st overall with your solo. They don't care because it does not quantify who your child is as a person that they see a future in and want to work with. Is the acknowledgement in all of those scenarios feel good? Absolutely. Are we as your faculty proud? The most proud. But do we know there is more beyond all of it? Without a doubt.

If you are auditioning for a Rage Box Company, you are doing so for a different reason then the immediate gratification you will receive at a competition, you are doing it because you want to be with a group of individuals who believes in cultivating a group of young humans who will undoubtedly make their mark on this world in one, way, shape or form. If dance is part of that journey … we are here to assist the dreamers.

GRANT TRAINING PROGRAM

Grant Training Program is a ballet based program that’s meant to enhance a dancer’s training. The program will consist of an Intermediate & Advanced Program with two different tracks to choose from based on age and ability. Track 1 will entail training on either Friday or Saturday, and Track 2 will entail training on both days. On Fridays classes offered will be flat and pointe, while Saturday will offer a variations class in addition to flat and pointe.

Dancers will also be eligible to participate in ballet competitions such as YAGP, WBC, IBC etc. You don’t have to compete a ballet variation at all of these, as you will be able to compete just your contemporary solo if you so choose. Any student who wishes to compete must first be approved by Mr. Kevin & Danielle. Competing at a ballet competition is highly recommended for dancers who wish to pursue concert dance and or professional ballet.

Dancers that have trained at GTP have thrived and gained entrance into prestigious programs such as School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, etc. They have also received top placements at YAGP, NYCDA, and the Dance Awards.
