Danielle Sten-Guillermo

Co-Director/Division 1, Division 2 & Division 3 Teacher: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Improvisation

Danielle Sten-Guillermo develops inspiring contemporary compositions that are sought after by other innovators, contemporary companies and educational institutions. Recently, Danielle worked as Associate Choreographer to Christopher Scott on the motion picture, Kiss of the Spider Woman starring Jennifer Lopez and Diego Luna.  She also choreographed for the ABC’s hit television show, “Will Trent”.  Other television credits include being Co-Choreographer of FOX’s television show, “The Big Leap”, which her and the choreography team were nominated for a World Choreography Award for their collection of episodic work. Danielle’s additional television credits include, the FOX Pilot “The Big Leap”,  “SYTYCD”, “The Rosie Show”, “Nuestra Navidad”, “The View” and “Good Morning America”.  She toured with Gloria Estefan and performed in her music video, “Wepa”. Her film credits include Disney Channel's “Teen Beach Movie”, “Teen Beach 2”, and “Lemonade Mouth” as dancer and assistant choreographer to Emmy-nominated choreographer, Christopher Scott.  Danielle is a faculty member for dance conventions, CRAZE: A New Dance Experience, and Turn It Up Dance Challenge, as well as a guest teacher for Revel Dance Convention. She has been a resident choreographer for Shenandoah University, creating work for their dance program.  Together, Danielle and her husband Lance collaborate in dance, fashion, and education. Their acclaims include TEDxBaltimore, co-directing/choreographing two original works entitled “Working America” and “366”, and traveling across the country teaching master classes and setting choreography.  Danielle and Lance are the owners of the Rage Box in Forest Hill, Maryland.  Danielle is represented by The Movement Talent Agency for choreography and education.

Lance Guillermo

Co-Director/Preschool, Division 1, Division 2 & Division 3: Hip-Hop

With an emphasis in preserving the culture of Hip Hop, Lance’s work focuses on the original street styles of Hip Hop Dance. Lance’s choreography television and film credits include being a Co-Choreographer of ABC’s hit show, “Will Trent”, FOX’s show, “The Big Leap”, “Shake It Up”, “SYTYCD”, “Good Morning America”, and “The View”, as well as Disney Channel’s, “Lemonade Mouth”. Lance and the choreography team of “The Big Leap” were nominated for a World Choreography Award for Best Choreography in Television. Recently, Lance choreographed an LG Appliance Commercial.  His performance credits include “Step Up”, the “American Music Awards”, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “The Rosie Show”, “Nuestra Navidad”, “Good Morning America”, “The View”, and the “Teen Choice Awards”.  He has performed with music artists Imagine Dragons and Khalid, Lady Gaga, Ciara, Chris Brown, and Gloria Estefan. KAIYLA ROSS

Company Director/Division 1, Division 2 & Division 3 Teacher: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Jazz/Tap Combo, Adult Fitness

Kaiyla Ross, a Baltimore native, who is actively involved in the dance community as a dancer, choreographer, and instructor. She started her dance journey at a young age and continued her training at Rage Box where she was a student in its first year of operation all the way until she graduated from high school at George Washington Carver School for the Arts and Technology. Then, she continued her studies of the arts at Hofstra University where she graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a Dance Minor. After college, she returned back to Rage Box and became a member of the faculty. As a teacher, Kaiyla combines her higher education experiences with her extensive dance training into her teaching techniques; finding the importance of educating dancers on injury prevention, anatomy and physiology, and strength & conditioning to enhance training and safety of all of her students. With her involvement in community initiatives, local county dance festivals and guest appearances in private and public schools; she continues to educate and inspire everyone she interacts to ensure that they are able to grasp hold of some new information that they can take along with their training.

Preschool Director/Division 1 & Division 2 Teacher: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre

Summer has been dancing since the age of 3. She is an experienced Professional Dancer and Teacher in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Lyrical/Contemporary. She began assisting at the age of 10 and teaching at 16. Becoming certified in Ballet at the age of 18 through Texas Association Teachers of Dance. She continued her training, teaching, and performing for 9 years in San Antonio until meeting her husband Adrian Jasso. Adrian is an officer in the U.S. Army which has taking Summer to different parts of the country. They have been stationed in Georgia, Texas, Michigan, and now Maryland. Everywhere they go Summer continues her training, teaching and sharing her knowledge of dance with all her students.  She has two children Roman & Ellery who dance also dance at The Rage Box. Summer’s love for dance and her students is undeniable. She is so excited to be part of Rage Box and pass on her respect and love for the art of Dance to all her students.

 

CARLEY SCHEELER

Division 1, Division 2 & Division 3 Teacher: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre

Carley Scheeler began her dance training at age 3 and graduated from Rage Box Dance Center in 2017. She has trained in a variety of styles including ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, tap, musical theater, and hip-hop. Carley takes pride in continuing her dance training while simultaneously teaching multiple classes at Rage Box. Carley received her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Towson University in 2021. Carley has gained experience through traveling across the country as choreographer and production assistant for Danielle Sten-Guillermo and Lance Guillermo of On the DL. During this journey, she booked The Warner Bros. film, “In The Heights” as a dancer. After taking Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s Professional Intensive in 2022 and Ohad Nahrain’s Gaga Lab in Brooklyn, New York in 2024, Carley has a deep appreciation for concert work, and strives to be in a professional contemporary company one day. She loves teaching and choreographing for the students of Rage Box Dance Center and hopes she can inspire the next generation of dancers just as her mentors do for her.

Kathryn Jacques

Division 2 & Division 3 Teacher - Ballet, Pointe, Ballet Track

Kathryn Jacques began her training at Towson University’s Children’s Dance Division. She later attended the university on scholarship and graduated with Honors with a B.F.A in Dance Performance. Kathryn spent summers at Baltimore Ballet and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and has performed professionally with the Baltimore Ballet, Harford Ballet Company (now Ballet Chesapeake), Eclipse Performing Dance Company, as apart of the Harlem Globetrotters halftime show, and with independent choreographers. She has been accepted into programs for Richmond Ballet, Ballet Austin, Ballet Theater of Maryland, and Nashville Ballet and received Honorable Mention as a Semi- Finalist for the Maryland Distinguished Scholar of the Arts.

After retiring from the stage, Kathryn transitioned into TV and film acting where she has appeared in local and national commercials, PSAs, TV shows and films including Season 6 of House of Cards as the featured ballerina, Merritt Athletic Clubs commercials, Veep and various shows on the ID Discovery Network.  She was the lead actress in the nationally recognized documentary "Don't Talk About the Baby" and starred in the independent feature film "Soul Fray" which premiered at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival in France before it's international release.  In addition to her dance and acting career, she is also a published author in the Young Adult fiction genre and works with a literary agent in London.

For over a decade, Kathryn has taught all levels of ballet and pointe throughout northern Maryland and southern Pennsylvania, with a primary focus on elementary and intermediate dancers. Her students have attended many summer and year-round training programs including Bolshoi Ballet, American Ballet Theater, The Rock School, Washington Ballet School and Miami City Ballet, have received professional contracts with Nashville Ballet, Richmond Ballet and Joffery Ballet and have been accepted into numerous high school training programs and college dance majors, often with scholarships.  Many students have received awards at regional dance competitions/ conventions including multiple awards for technical excellence, scholarship awards at the National Ballet Competition, and have competed at the Youth America Grand Prix.  She's appeared with her students on local news channels and in various publications.

Rebecca Hudson

Division 1, Division 2 & Division 3 Teacher - Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Tap

Rebecca Hudson began her dance training at the Rage Box its opening year in 2004, and continued dancing there for 13 years before graduating in 2017. She has trained heavily in many styles of dance including ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre, improvisation, partnering, and tap. Rebecca has performed and competed with the Noise tap company, the Preparatory Program competition team, and the Boxed Fresh Crew hip hop company. All of the platinum awards and overall placements do not compare to the joy of teaching and dancing with her students. Rebecca is a graduate of Harford Community College with her associates degree in General Studies. She currently works full time as a bakery manager and teaches dance in the evenings. Rebecca is very happy to be teaching alongside the faculty who inspired her during her own training. She looks forward to educating her students of all ages and sharing her love for dance.

 

 

SHANNON MAGENSS

Sensory Dance Works Director

Shannon graduated from Towson University in 2002 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Loyola University with a Masters in Special Education. She began her teaching career in Harford County Public Schools in 2002 and continues to work as a classroom teacher in the school system. Shannon also enjoys working part time at Salt Works Spa as an Administrative Support Staff member and Event Coordinator. Shannon has been blessed with the opportunity to teach children of all ages and abilities and is grateful to be a part of the Rage Box faculty.

ALEXANDER (ALEX) SANDMEIER

Division 1 & Division 2 Teacher - Hip Hop

Alexander Sandmeier began his dance journey with Rage Box in the year 2012. At The Rage Box, Alex studied for 7 years in the styles of Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical Theater, and Ballet. He competed for many years in the Boxed Fresh Crew, Boxed Fresh Boys Crew, and Preparatory Program competition team. With the Boxed Fresh Boys Crew he competed in World of Dance New Jersey, performed with rapper Lil Dicky, as well as in a halftime performance at Ironbirds Stadium. Outside of dance, Alex is a full time car photography vendor servicing dealerships around Cecil, Harford, and Baltimore counties. Alex is always excited to bring lots of energy into the classroom, teach the fundamentals of hip hop, and set a great example as a leader and mentor, just as Lance was for him during his time as a student.

 
 

DANIELLE CARDELLA

Studio Manager

Danielle is a native of New York.  She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Long Island University and her Masters Degree in Reading Education from Towson University. After moving to Maryland in 1998, she taught 5th grade in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.  For the past 12 years she has worked at June Bug Club, a home-based preschool for children ages 2-5.  Danielle has worked at the Rage Box for 8 years.  She is currently the Studio Manager handling day to day tasks, administrative duties, as well as costuming the dancers.  Danielle lives in Harford County with her husband and 3 children.  Danielle loves working so closely with dance and the talented educators at the Rage Box, but her favorite part of working at the studio is being able to engage with students on a daily basis.
